THE PHOTO EXPERIENCE

YOUR SESSION: WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect to enjoy the session, relax and have fun! Expect to see portraits that don't look staged, but are natural reflections of who you are in your own element.

I am an on-location lifestyle portrait photographer using God's natural light in an artistic way – looking for colors, contrasts and textures in your own environment as the backdrop for your unique lifestyle portraits. You don't have to worry with the headaches of getting dressed up to go wait at an unfamiliar and uncomfortable studio. I specialize in photographing children, teens, high school seniors, models, couples, and families.

My photography is about capturing the real moments in life and creating custom portrait art with them. Moments that tell your life and your story. Art that you want to display as a canvas on your wall, on your mantel, or an artbook on your coffee table.

Your session will last one to two hours. However, there is no time limit with your session fee. If more time is needed, I will allow for more time to capture the images I am striving for. I spend the first few minutes interacting with you and your family to put everyone at ease for the session.

CHILDREN SESSIONS

I look for the sincere honest expressions of children. The moments where they are simply being themselves in their own environment.

I'll be down on the floor or in the grass with your children, playing, talking, watching, listening...ready to capture the expressions that you've come to know and love. I want to catch them as they are, their natural expressions, having fun, being mischievous, and yes, even pouting.

It is best that you allow me to interact with your child without your influence in trying to get a smile or giggle. Children seem to relax and be themselves when I am just "hanging out" with them. Please be prepared to hang back and just observe during the time I am capturing your child being natural.

FAMILY SESSIONS

If you choose Jeffrey S. Rease Photography & Design for your family portrait, you are looking for a unique, custom portrait that truly captures the essense of who your family is in everyday life. I will ask that you simply interact. Be yourselves. Talk, laugh, relax. Just being yourselves is what my style is all about. Contemporary, lifestyle portraits, capturing your family just living life.

ADULT / COUPLES SESSIONS

I love working with adults and couples in capturing real-life moments. Whether you are creating a modeling portfolio with high-fashion portraits or want portraits with your spouse or fiance, I will put you at ease and make your session fun and exciting.

I will work with you in deciding the style you are looking for. In addition to your own home setting, there are a variety of locations in our area that are fabulous for contemporary or classic photos, from urban settings to country.

MODEL AND SENIOR SESSIONS

I am glad to help new and upcoming models develop professional portfolios that will help them succeed in the modeling industry. Head shots and creative fashion photographs shot in various locations and edited for impact are provided on CD for a flat fee. That option is also available to seniors who want unique images for school, friends and family for their big final year in high school.

WEDDINGS

I will shoot for as long as needed on your wedding day and can travel to any location for the wedding. We will discuss in detail everything you wish for the wedding and reception before the wedding date. Plan a little extra time for the beautiful and unique bridal and couple portraits either before or after the ceremony. We often include the wedding planner in this process so everything goes smoothly.

CLOTHING: WHAT TO WEAR

I strongly suggest a combination of simple and neutral clothing with added accessories and layers that are colorful and brilliant.

Consider textured clothing such as cable knits, corduroys, denims, khakis, and neutral colors as your base. These colors and textures will provide a fabulous classic look. Consider adding colorful scarves, hats, and vests for color and interest. While logos and wild prints should not be the staple of your wardrobe choice for your session, you are encouraged to incorporate this type of clothing for a few select images during the session if you desire. This is the time to allow your child to wear his or her favorite outfit or play clothes – even if they don't match! In lifestyle portraiture, capturing the personality of the individual is the most important thing!

Also, consider bare feet – the classic look of your family just hanging out in your own natural setting, in jeans and barefeet is the classic look that is timeless for Lifestyle Portraiture.

PREVIEWING YOUR IMAGES

Your images will be available within 2-3 weeks after your photo session and can be seen in your own private online gallery of images for 10 days. This will allow you to share your session images with friends and family.

DELIVERY OF YOUR PORTRAITS

Your portrait CD/DVD order will be personally delivered when possible, or priority shipped directly to your home.

You will be required to sign a model release at your session. Personal information is not used.
